A group of Sindhi ladies displaced from East Pakistan, due to the partition of our country in the year 1947, started social work in the direction of imparting Education to Sindhi Children. They named their organization “POONA REFUGEE RELIEF COMMITTEE “. This Trust was registered with Assistant Charity Commissioner, Poona Region. This registration has been done under the provisions of The Bombay Public Trusts Act, of 1950
The name of the Trust was changed to “JAI HIND SINDHU EDUCATION TRUST” in 1989, through the Deputy Charity Commissioner, Poona Region, Poona.

At present, we have total student strength of more than 9500 with 141 divisions of various classes.
For efficient management of all the institutes under the management of the Trust, Office bearers visit the campus regularly and take account of the happenings of each institute. All our managing trustees reside in Pune.
No remuneration is claimed by any of the Trustees.
The Trust takes no donations for any admissions to any class. The level of fees charged to students from unaided sections is far lower than fees charged by other institutes in the vicinity. The trust also extends help to those students whose financial background is weak but are good in academics.
The institutes stand on 9 acres (32,241.102 sq. meters) of the land of which 18,664.200 Sq. meters are freehold, which is owned by the Trust. The buildings too are owned by the Trust. The balance is 8,461.000 Sq. meters is leasehold which is used for playground. The total constructed area is 13,156.650 sq. meters.
The oldest buildings were constructed in 1949. These were utilized in High School classes.
